Spot Guide Tenerife, Canary Islands

At the PKRA World Cup on Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, I suddenly stood in front of ex-double World Champ, kite- and windsurfing-legend Mark Shinn and his long-term girlfriend Flo Ducate. I have not seen them in quite some time and was wanting soooo much to have a little chit chat, however, a few minutes before my heat, it had to give priority to getting my gear ready in order to go out into 30 knots +  and show my best…

I knew that Flo and Mark were living on another one of the Canary island, Tenerife and launching my kite I asked ‘when r u going back mates?’ … ‘tonite, come over and visit us on tenerife after u kicked a$$ here!’…
well, I fulfilled both missions:  I secured a place on the podium, coming third in hangtime and booked myself a flight to tenerife.  being invited to a new place by locals is always super nice, even more so if the host is double World Champion and his girlfriend a top-photographer.  Read the outcome in the January issue of Kitesurf UK magazine, have fun!
