I bid my farewell to Vienna yesterday with a visit to the world-renowned ‘Wiener Christkindlmarkt’. The weeks before Christmas, Christmas markets pop up on many corners and streets in the old part of my hometown Vienna. The ‘Wiener Christkindlmarkt’ right in front of the gorgeous city hall, though, is certainly the most famous one and always super crowded with tourists from all over the World !
For the first time in many years I a m actually around in Vienna (only for one more day, though) during this beautiful pre-X-mas season and regardless of the fact that snow is missing for picture-perfect, I still decided to pass by the Christkindlmarkt for a last Viennese tradition: the ‘Gluehwein’ (hot, spiced molded red wine) with my best friend. I bought some small presies for my nephews, brother and parents and took a ‘time-out’ from very stressful pre-departure, seemingly never-ending ‘2-do-lists’ and tasks on my computer… sweet !
Tomorrow I’m off to the other side of the globe: YEEEEEEEEES, back to W.A., can’t wait to feel the energy of the Ocean again, it’s been quite some time, I have to admit, I’m frothing to get back into the water 🙂
Guys, please don’t curse me if I won’t be able to blog for a couple of days, however, as you certainly can imagine, there’s loads of stuff to be sorted out: accommodation, car, internet connection… but “I’ll be back” soon (just like my fellow Austrian ‘Arnie’ said in a popular movie), promise!
In the meantime, make sure you enter ‘Kitegabi’s ONLINE RAFFLE’ in order 2 win sweet prizes of North Kiteboarding, ION, Oakley, and 02alive !!!
Have fun & catch you soon amigos 🙂
Yours Gabi
