Swell hitting Austria

Woooooooooooooooooow, THE greatest fun I’ve had in Austria in a loooong time! S i c k feeling: wakesurfing. This was my first go at it ever and I simply couldn’t stop laughing, giggling, screaming out loudly h o w much fun this was!  Thanx to my main sponsor O2alive, I had endless power 🙂

What really touched me emotionally on this experience: the lake that u see on the photos that’s the lake traun (Traunsee) in the breathtaking Salzkammergut in Upper Austria. A beautiful town right at the northerly end of the lake is my mother’s birthplace and thus my grandparents home. My brother and me spent all holidays on that lake.

Already as a kid I was dreaming of learning how to surf. Enjoying this wakesurf session – thanx to the wakeboard school Gmunden and their absolutely s i c k mastercraft pimp boats!! – and looking at the photos, feels unreal. Obviously my childhood dream of learning how to surf has become true already abroad on the sea many years back, seeing these pics, me surfing a wave in front of my favourite- childhood-mountain (the big mountain in the back) the impressive ‘Traunstein’ that feels so good !!
