Auf der Suche nach dem Wellenglück

“When are you finally going to come and visit us in Margaret River Axel???”, way too many times I asked my friend and awesome photographer Axel of Reemedia.de that question over the years since I’ve last had the pleasure of shooting with him in Coche, Venezuela, in 2005.

Finally earlier this year, I got the reply that I’ve been after for so long: “Alright, get ready Gabi, we’ll be coming to WA in January!”

It’s quite funny, normally I travel the world always on the search for new kiting-grounds which then are featured in Germany’s leading magazine Kiteboarding.eu. This time, it’s the other way around:

The photographer (in this case Axel) came all the way from Germany and visited me and my husband Corey at home in Margaret River. The German title of the story “Auf der Suche nach dem Wellenglück” could be translated into “Seeking Wave Happiness” or “ Seeking Happiness in the Waves” and made it on mega big spread on 12 pages into the May/June issue of Kiteboarding.eu!

Our life that’s dedicated and dictated by the Ocean, welcome to my world 🙂
