Florianopolis, das Hawaii Brasiliens

A lot is being written these days about Brazil, this absolutely mindblowing country with its lovely people, incredible beauty of nature, vibes and perfect conditions for kitesurfing.
Most articles, however, cover the northeast of Brazil only, namely the state of Ceará (capital: Fortaleza) and sometimes a bit further down south to the state of Rio Grande do Norte (capital: Natal) and Paraíba (capital: João Pessoa).

Having visited and kited the spots along the northeast coast already for three years in a row, I decided to check out some new kite-grounds and headed down south to the island of Florianópolis, the capital of the state Santa Catarina and known for its stunnig beaches and sick waves.
