The Spanish Surf a Vela Magazine features here my trip to Oman in the United Arab Emirates, following in the footsteps and exploring the origins of most probably the most famous Omani in history: Abu Ubaida ibn Abdullah ibn Qassim aka Sindbad the Sailor.
After having traveled and kited several corners of this still rather unknown kiting-paradise, I’m absolutely sure of one thing: If Sindbad would still be alive today, he would be a kitesurfer for sure! Oman is rich in potential kiting-grounds and boasts absolutely incredible wind-statistics.
On this trip I worked together with Alan Norton, a truly awesome photographer and absolutely great guy. Alan lives with his wife and family in Dubai and he joined me on this very memorable road-trip to the neighboring country Oman. Shooting with Alan was a great pleasure and I truly dig the photos he took.
Below you can find the link to download the pdf of the article or alternatively you can just read it online right here by clicking on the images of the pages.
If Spanish isn’t in your language repertoire 😉 , you can also read the English version of my Oman-Story right here on 10 pages in The US Kiteboarder Magazine, in French in Kiteboarder Mag on 8 pages or in German on 10 pages in Kiteboarding.eu!
Have fun & stay tuned!
