Reflexionen in Grün

“Reflexionen in Grün”  (in my mother tongue German) literally translates in English into “Reflections in Green“.  With this title I’m writing about my trip to a secret little island in Indonesia on the occasion of my “10-Year-Anniversary” as Professional Kitesurfer.

Indonesia was the place where my career started. Back then, that was in Bali, the Island of Gods as the Balinese call it. The place where I first held onto a kite and felt the rush that reached every little vein in my body for the very first time.

10 amazing years later, I’m returning to Indonesia to celebrate one decade in the sport and industry. WOW, ten years ago, on that beach in Bali, where I first learnt to kitesurf, I would not even have dared to dream in my very wildest dreams, of the life I’m living today. I feel privileged, blessed and most grateful to God!

The German magazine “Kitelife” features this return to Indonesia and my trip to a remote island with amazing waves on 8 pages. Photographed by top surf-photographer Jason Wolcott, this dream-trip will always have a very, very special place in my heart.
