Kitefitness – gym workout alternatives, during travels, no wind-periods, contra injury prevention
A certain basic fitness level is of course only favourable and of advantage for any kitesurfer. Even if you don’t have the possibility of training on the water where you live, to get in shape before your holiday and in fact to stay in shape all year round is crucial in order to prevent injuries and to ensure top performance & maximal fun factor on your trip!
In this feature I have put together exercises for ‘gym avoiders’, i.e. a work out routine that will get you in shape for kitesurfing and respectively keep you in shape during longer ‘no wind periods’ but far away boring dumb bells in the gym, simply with your own body weight as well as the thera-band, a genial fitness gadget. Focusing on the most important muscle groups for todays ‘New School Era’, check out my workout & have fun shaping up to a perfect 6-pack kiteboarder-body !
