The Venezuelan Nationals in 2002 were my first competition ever. Then, I competed with the guys due to the lack of female riders and came 2nd and respectively 3rd in the two disciplines freestyle and hangtime!
Being back in Venezuela, where it all started, I of course, had to participate in the Nationals again. The Polar Ice Cup on Coche Island, 24-26 May, was also the official preparation – for both, riders and organisation – for the PKRA World Cup that will be going off here in less than two weeks time from now.
The event was awesome and on the second day, I was riding my best heat e v e r !! Yep, just everything worked out in those 7 minutes … I landed the fattest, most radical tricks and the crowd was screaming. It just felt so, soooo good !!
The end results were split into ‘Nationals’ and ‘Internationals’. I came 2nd in all three disciplines – Freestyle, Hangtime, Best Trick – only current Vize-Worldchamp, Kristin Boese, could stop me.
Yeah, it definitley was THE most perfect heat and for the World Cup to come, I just wish, to manage to perform only closely to that top-form of that very special day.
